Stacks ("we", "our", or "us") is built on the principle that your data is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to provide the service:

• Account information — email address and display name when you sign up.
• Profile data — optional avatar photo you choose to upload.
• App content — mindspaces, stacks, and tools you create.
• Usage data — errors and crash reports via Sentry to help us fix bugs (no personal content is included).
• Purchase data — subscription status managed via RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, sync, and back up your stacks across devices.
• Send you stack invitations from other users (only with your participation).
• Process subscription purchases and manage entitlements.
• Diagnose and fix crashes and errors.
• Send transactional emails (e.g. data exports you request).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the following sub-processors, each bound by their own privacy commitments:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting (US)
• PowerSync — real-time data sync (US)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (US)
• Sentry — crash reporting (US)
• Resend — transactional email (US)

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@stacks.mobi. We will process requests within 30 days.

5. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

6. Children

Stacks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at privacy@stacks.mobi to exercise any of these rights.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use of Stacks after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
